Back-to-School Bash Invitation (JPG)
Our invitation to ALL Jefferson families to join us for a back-to-school celebration before the year begins.  This is a fun opportunity to meet the staff, eat some good free food, listen to some music, and get to know your student’s school a little better!

Food, Nutrition, and EBT information (LINK)
The District Food and Nutrition website provides information about the daily lunch schedules and how to deposit money into your student’s lunch account.

Infinite Campus Annual Online Verification (LINK)
Please take the time to update your information in Infinite Campus every year.  If you do not have a username for the parent portal, please call Lori Gunn in the Jefferson Main Office at 319-558-3758, and she will assist you.

How to Pay School Fees (LINK)
Information about required and optional student fees.  Please contact Deb Floyd in the Bookkeeping Office at 319-558-2743 with any questions.

School Supplies
Paper, pencils, and pens should be brought on the first day.  Otherwise, there is no supply list for high schools.  Teachers will inform students during the first week of the materials needed for their classes.

Student Parking - COMING SOON!
If your student (grades 10-12) wants to park at Jefferson during the 2021-22 school year, they will need to register their vehicle ahead of time before showing up to collect their parking tag in the Jefferson Main Office.  Freshmen will not be eligible for on-campus parking until later in the fall semester.

Daily Bell Schedules (PDF)
Please note that class times vary for each Tuesday and Friday.  All Cedar Rapids high schools (Jefferson, Washington, and Kennedy) will follow the same bell schedules this year.

Healthy Roster is a FREE mobile app/website program connecting Cedar Rapids Jefferson parents and coaches with their school’s Certified Athletic Trainer.
Concussion Testing Instructions (PDF)
For the 2020-2021 athletic year, we are utilizing a new concussion baseline testing program.  I am asking all student-athletes to complete this at home with the use of their Chromebook or another computer that has a keyboard.  Please see the attachment with the instructions on how to complete this.  Feel free to contact Suzi, our athletic trainer, at with any questions or concerns!  If you played baseball or softball, you DO NOT have to take this again.


The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is the largest nonprofit volunteer child advocacy organization in the country. Numbers count! By simply joining the Jefferson PTSA, you help increase the power of our voice on a state and national level. In addition, money raised by the PTSA is used for scholarships for graduating seniors and to help with improvements in the classrooms. Please show your support and, join the 2021-2022 JHS PTSA.

Metro Care Clinic Consent Form (PDF)
This form must be completed before your student can be treated at a Metro Care Clinic health center.

Parent Authorization Form (PDF)
Gives the clinic permission to provide your student with an over-the-counter pain reliever (such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen).
