Wind Symphony performs

Congratulations to the Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School Wind Symphony on an outstanding performance at the inaugural National Band Association-Iowa Wind Symposium hosted in the new Voxman Music Building of The University of Iowa School of Music.  Jefferson High School was joined by the musicians of the Davenport Central High School Wind Ensemble and Ames High School Wind Symphony.  The ensembles shared in performing for one another and working on stage with clinicians Dr. Richard Mark Heidel, Director of Bands at The University of Iowa, and Dr. Myron Welch, Professor Emeritus.
 
The Jefferson Wind Symphony will be serving as a performance ensemble for the Young Conductors Session at the 90th Annual Iowa Bandmasters Association Conference in Des Moines on Friday, May 12th.
