Usually printed and posted in each room on an 11 by 17-inch piece of paper, the Teacher Locator is here to help you and your student know when teachers are free, and when they are in class. Please note: While we try to keep this online version as up-to-date as we can, it is possible that the information might be slightly out of date on occassion.
As part of the Metro Care Connection, the health staff at Jefferson provide a wide variety of services to students.
All athletics and fine arts activities are scheduled on the master calender maintained by the Athletics Office. In addition to dates and starting times, you can also use the Activities Calendar to find out scores, etc.!
Weather is unpredictable. On the occasions where conditions take a turn for the worse, the following guidelines are used by the Cedar Rapids Community School District to make the decision on whether to delay or close for the day (Please note: these are decisions made at the district level).
The Jefferson Booster Club works to generate interest in and support for the various Jefferson High School athletic programs. Their efforts are essential in providing resources to the Jefferson community. Please consider volunteering today!
Comprised of students wanting to make a difference in their class and at Jefferson, the Student Council works to create a proud and positive perception of Jefferson to all students, faculty, administration, parents, and community members within the state of Iowa.
GEAR UP Iowa's three-pronged approach to the creation of a "college-going culture" in Iowa funds initiatives designed to strengthen academic achievement, increase academic aspirations, and raise college awareness. The program encourages young people to have high expectations, study hard, and pursue success in college.
WISE was established in the spring of 2011 by four female teachers at Jefferson that saw a need for change within our school among the diversity of our female population. WISE helps to inspire and teach the tools young girls need to overcome bullying, prejudice, and gossip so that they can not only help themselves but learn to help others.
Also known as the Parent, Teacher, and Student Association, the PTSA is a group that works for the benefit of the students, faculty, and the Jefferson community. We are always looking for new members - all are welcome!
The Service Club at Jefferson is comprised of students and faculty interested in making a difference in their community. Previous projects have included cleaning up after the Flood of 2008, Sleeping Out for the Homeless, and Bowling for Kids Sake. Interested individuals are ALWAYS welcome!
