School Improvement Plan
School improvement is an ongoing process in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. The District and each school engage in a process of continuous improvement that involves analyzing data, identifying strengths and weaknesses, setting goals, and implementing a plan to improve classroom instruction and student learning.
Our Jefferson School Improvement Plan (SIP) focuses on improving classroom instruction and professional learning for teachers. It's a living document that is monitored and adjusted to meet the learning for students. In addition, our SIP is aligned with our larger district goals of Narrowing the Achievement Gap, Implementing the Professional Learning Community Model, and Assuring Quality Instruction for all students.
